NEW DELHI: A dust storm accompanied with thundershowers is expected to hit the national capital region (NCR) on Tuesday afternoon, MeT officials said, as the region witnessed a cloudy sky in the morning. Traces of rain were recorded in south Delhi's Greater Kailash area on Tuesday morning, bringing respite from the scorching heat.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorm and dust storm in Delhi and adjoining areas for the next three days.
Cloudy sky in Noida
According to the IMD's local weather report from Palam station in Delhi, there won't be much relief from the prevailing heatwave conditions in the coming days as the maximum temperatures are likely to touch 45-46 degrees Celsius in some parts.

In Gurugram, there will be partly cloudy sky throughout the day with possibility of rain, thunderstorm and dust storms. The city is likely to witness similar weather conditions on Wednesday.

"Increase in wind speed is expected to bring the high maximum temperature down a bit in Gurugram. On Wednesday, there is a possibility of light rain along with dust storm or thundershower. After that, no heatwave is expected till June 16," said a Met official.
Strong surface winds in Noida and Greater Noida has brought some relief from the scorching heat.
